The Commercial LPG price has been reduced by ₹183.50 per 19-kg cylinder with effect from July 1, offering significant relief to restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial establishments across India. The latest revision marks the first reduction in Commercial LPG price during 2026 after several earlier revisions, while domestic LPG cylinder prices have been left unchanged.
Thank you for reading this post, don’t forget to subscribe!Following the latest revision by India’s oil marketing companies, the retail price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi now stands at ₹2,930. Alongside the reduction in the Commercial LPG price, the retail rate of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder has also been lowered by ₹13, bringing its price in Delhi to ₹808.50.
The latest revision is expected to reduce operating costs for thousands of businesses that depend heavily on commercial LPG cylinders for daily operations.
Commercial LPG price falls for the first time in 2026
The reduction in the Commercial LPG price represents the first downward revision for commercial cylinders this year. Businesses in the hospitality and food service industries had been facing elevated fuel expenses following multiple price adjustments over recent months.
While commercial users have received immediate relief, households using 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders will not see any change in prices under the latest revision. Oil marketing companies have kept domestic LPG rates unchanged, maintaining the existing retail prices across major cities.
The distinction between commercial and domestic pricing reflects separate pricing mechanisms and demand dynamics within India’s LPG market.
Global crude oil prices influence latest revision
Industry experts attribute the decline in the Commercial LPG price largely to easing international crude oil prices. Global energy markets have witnessed increased stability following developments in West Asia, particularly the extension of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, which has reduced immediate concerns over disruptions to shipping routes through key energy corridors.
Lower international energy prices generally translate into reduced import costs for petroleum products, allowing oil marketing companies to revise commercial LPG rates downward.
Market analysts note that international benchmark prices, exchange rates, freight costs and government pricing policies all influence periodic LPG revisions in India.
Businesses expected to benefit from lower fuel costs
The latest Commercial LPG price cut is expected to provide financial relief to restaurants, roadside eateries, hotels, bakeries, catering businesses and other commercial users whose operating expenses are closely linked to cooking fuel costs.
Economists believe lower commercial fuel costs can improve business margins, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises that have faced rising input costs over the past year. Some businesses may also benefit from improved profitability if lower fuel expenses are sustained over the coming months.
However, experts caution that the extent of long-term savings will depend on future movements in global crude oil prices and geopolitical developments affecting international energy markets.
Domestic LPG prices remain unchanged
Despite the reduction in the Commercial LPG price, domestic consumers will continue paying existing rates for household LPG cylinders. Oil marketing companies periodically review domestic LPG prices separately based on multiple economic factors, including international fuel prices, subsidy policies and overall market conditions.
Industry observers note that commercial LPG prices typically respond more quickly to fluctuations in international energy markets than domestic cylinder prices.
