Marti Technologies, Inc., Türkiye’s leading mobility super app, has surpassed its previously announced ride-hailing growth targets, reporting 4.30 million riders and 532,000 registered drivers as of June 11, 2026. The milestone positions the company ahead of its June 30, 2026 objectives and highlights accelerating demand for Marti ride-hailing services across Türkiye.

The company disclosed that its Marti ride-hailing platform exceeded its target of 4.30 million riders while also surpassing its goal of 530,000 registered drivers. Following the stronger-than-expected performance, Marti has announced new growth targets of 4.90 million riders and 580,000 registered drivers by September 30, 2026.

The latest figures underline the rapid expansion of the Marti ride-hailing marketplace, which has emerged as one of the fastest-growing mobility platforms in Türkiye. The company reported that the number of riders on its platform increased 96% year-over-year between June 11, 2025, and June 11, 2026, while registered drivers grew 68% during the same period.

Marti Ride-Hailing Growth Reflects Strong Demand Across Türkiye

The strong growth in both rider and driver participation demonstrates increasing acceptance of ride-hailing services across Türkiye. Marti said its platform aims to provide safe, affordable, and readily available transportation while simultaneously creating income opportunities for drivers across different economic segments.

The company’s success has been particularly evident in Istanbul, Türkiye’s largest metropolitan area. Of the 532,000 registered drivers currently on the platform, approximately 351,000 are located in Istanbul. By comparison, the city is served by roughly 20,000 traditional taxis.

This substantial difference allows Marti ride-hailing services to provide broader coverage and greater availability for passengers seeking transportation options. The company also emphasized that drivers undergo formal background screening procedures before being accepted onto the platform. According to company data, drivers maintain an average rider rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars, reflecting strong customer satisfaction levels.

Expansion Strategy Strengthens Nationwide Presence

A key driver behind Marti riders growth has been the company’s continued geographic expansion beyond Istanbul. Following several expansion phases completed during 2025, Marti now operates in 20 markets throughout Türkiye, representing approximately 80% of the country’s gross domestic product.

The company’s expansion strategy has contributed to growing geographic diversification within its user base. Over the past year, the proportion of riders located outside Istanbul increased from 35% to 44%, while the share of registered drivers outside the city climbed from 24% to 34%.

This trend suggests that demand for ride-hailing services is spreading across multiple regions rather than remaining concentrated in the country’s largest city. Analysts view such diversification as a positive indicator because it reduces dependence on a single market while creating additional avenues for long-term growth.

The growing share of riders and drivers outside Istanbul also supports Marti’s broader ambition of establishing a nationwide transportation network capable of serving both urban and regional markets.

Turkish Ride-Hailing Market Presents Significant Opportunity

Industry forecasts indicate that the broader Türkiye ride-hailing market may still be in the early stages of development. According to estimates cited by the company from McKinsey & Company, Türkiye’s taxi market was valued between $9 billion and $12 billion in 2021.

Under a projected “Disruptive Scenario 2030,” ride-hailing services could significantly expand the size of the overall transportation market by offering consumers more affordable and convenient travel options. McKinsey & Company estimates that the Turkish ride-hailing market could reach between $15 billion and $20 billion by 2030.

Market experts suggest that the continued digitization of transportation services, increasing smartphone adoption, and growing consumer preference for app-based mobility solutions are likely to support industry expansion over the coming years.
