Gold prices today continued to trade above the significant ₹1.5 lakh mark across India’s retail bullion market, while silver prices today remained near record-high levels despite limited movement over the weekend. With trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India suspended on Saturdays and Sundays, physical bullion rates reflected the previous session’s closing levels, providing investors and jewellery buyers with a snapshot of the current market trend.

According to data from the Indian Bullion Association, the 24K gold price stood at ₹150,900 per 10 grams on June 14, while the 22K gold rate was recorded at ₹138,325 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices today remained elevated, with 999 Fine silver priced at ₹247,630 per kilogram.

The latest gold rate India figures highlight the remarkable rally witnessed in precious metals over the past year, driven by safe-haven demand, geopolitical uncertainty, inflation concerns, and continued investor interest in bullion assets.

Gold prices today remain strong across key Indian markets

The latest gold prices today showed only marginal differences across major metropolitan markets. In New Delhi, the 24K gold price was quoted at ₹150,370 per 10 grams, while the 22K gold rate stood at ₹137,839. Silver rates in the national capital were recorded at ₹246,750 per kilogram.

Mumbai continued to report slightly higher retail bullion prices, with the 24K gold price reaching ₹150,630 per 10 grams and the 22K gold rate at ₹138,078. Silver prices today in Mumbai were reported at ₹247,180 per kilogram.

In Bengaluru, retail buyers saw the 24K gold price at ₹150,750 per 10 grams and the 22K gold rate at ₹138,188. Kolkata recorded the 24K gold price at ₹150,430 and the 22K gold rate at ₹137,894 per 10 grams.

Hyderabad remained among the costlier markets, where the 24K gold price reached ₹150,870 per 10 grams, while the 22K gold rate stood at ₹138,298. Chennai registered the highest prices among major cities, with the 24K gold price at ₹151,070 and the 22K gold rate at ₹138,481 per 10 grams.

Why gold and silver prices remain elevated

Market analysts attribute the strength in gold prices today to ongoing global uncertainty and strong investor demand for safe-haven assets. Precious metals often attract buying interest during periods of geopolitical tensions, economic instability, and concerns about inflation.

The gold rate India has remained supported by international bullion trends, a relatively weaker domestic currency environment, and sustained investment demand. Financial experts note that gold continues to serve as a portfolio hedge against volatility in global financial markets.

Silver prices today have also benefited from strong industrial demand. Unlike gold, silver is used extensively in manufacturing sectors such as electronics, solar energy, electric vehicles, and industrial equipment. This dual role as both an investment and industrial metal has contributed to silver’s substantial gains in recent years.

Gold and silver rally delivers impressive long-term returns

The recent performance of precious metals has been particularly noteworthy. Gold prices have experienced one of their strongest rallies in decades. Market data indicates that gold appreciated significantly during the past year, supported by global economic uncertainty and rising investment inflows.

In India, the gold rate India climbed from approximately ₹135,257 in early January to around ₹157,480 by early March, representing a gain of nearly 16% within a relatively short period. Although prices have moderated slightly from peak levels, they continue to remain historically elevated.

Silver has delivered even sharper gains. Industry data shows that silver prices surged from roughly ₹78,600 per kilogram during 2023-2024 to above ₹200,000 per kilogram in early 2026. The substantial increase reflects strong industrial consumption, supply constraints, and rising investor participation in the bullion market.
